Why give through the Foundation?

Welcome Friend Foundation exists to provide charitable stewardship, funding, and long-term stability for programs delivered by Welcome Friend Association—such as Rainbow Camp®, Rainbow Online Connection, and Brave Space Training.

While Welcome Friend Association designs and delivers programs, the Foundation ensures donations are responsibly managed, tax-receipted, and directed where they can have the greatest impact.

Where your gift can go

You may choose to direct your gift to a specific area of the work, or allow us to apply it where it’s most needed.

Rainbow Camp® access
Helps reduce financial barriers so more youth can attend camp.
Year-round connection (ROC)
Supports moderated online spaces and ongoing community connection.
Build Project / capital
Advances long-term infrastructure, including a permanent intergenerational campus.
Where needed most
Allows the Foundation to respond flexibly to emerging needs and priorities.
Designations are honoured wherever possible while ensuring responsible charitable stewardship.

Donations are processed securely online. You’ll receive an email confirmation, and eligible gifts receive a Canadian charitable tax receipt.

Who issues the tax receipt?

Your charitable tax receipt is issued by Welcome Friend Foundation (Registered Canadian Charity No. 797410362RR0001).

Can I direct my gift to Rainbow Camp® or another program?

Yes. If the donation form includes a designation option, you can select Rainbow Camp®, ROC, the Build Project, or “Where needed most.” If you don’t see what you need, contact us and we’ll help.

How are donations used between WFF and WFA?

Welcome Friend Foundation provides charitable stewardship and funding. Welcome Friend Association designs and delivers programs like Rainbow Camp® and Rainbow Online Connection. Your gift helps sustain those programs and related community supports.

Is my donation secure?

Yes. Donations are processed through a secure online payment system. You’ll receive an email confirmation, and eligible gifts receive a Canadian charitable tax receipt.
